We are looking for 25 board game players to test our new concept

We are crowd-sourcing ideas from 25 plucky pioneers who will enjoy playing ADMAN and volunteer to give us feedback. We want you to help us identify any snags in the play as well as contributing your creative thoughts – and horrid puns.

It’s the 1960s. You are at the helm of a zoomy advertising agency on New York’s Madison Avenue. You are competing to acquire the advertising accounts of major brands and earn profits from ad budgets of millions of dollars.

A familiar, easy format, but with totally different game play

WHAT’S THE DEAL? We are crowd-sourcing ideas. We’re looking for a few plucky pioneers who will enjoy playing this board game and volunteer to give us feedback. We want you to help us identify any snags in the play as well as contributing your creative thoughts – wackier brand names, nastier pitfalls and zanier windfalls, more atrocious puns . . . whatever.

HOW WILL IT WORK? With your prototype we will include an online questionnaire. We will ask you to play the game with friends or family twice and then complete and email us the questionnaire summarising your experience. Plus a digital photo or short video which we can use for promotional purposes.

WHAT’S THE CATCH? This is advertising, right? So there’s a catch. To show you’re serious, we will ask you to pay for your prototype game. When we go into mass production a game of this quality and complexity will probably retail for up to £49.95. Of course, in this short production run each example has cost us many times more than that. But for this research project we will offer these prototypes at £48 (£40 + VAT) including postage and packing.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU? Upon receipt of your online completed questionnaire we will refund you £24. Only 30 of these prototypes exist. So, you will acquire a rare original board game for HALF-PRICE (£24). As well as the ineffable satisfaction of having contributed to this boon to Mankind. Er . . . and Womankind, though we would not have thought of that in the 1960s.

WHEN? As soon as a list emerges. Perhaps in a few weeks. All you need to do now is get your name on the list. We will acknowledge your interest at once, and later get in touch with all serious contenders in order of application.
